What’s your cancellation policy?

+

We want to make your experience as easy as possible, and we know that sometimes plans change. As long as you cancel 48 hours prior to your tour’s departure time, we are happy to provide you with a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, that’s ok too! We will be happy to reschedule you on another Metro Tours outing that works with your schedule.

How fit do I need to be?

+

We try to ensure that Metro Tours is for everyone as much as possible. While our offerings are walking tours, there are many stops and places to sit, should you need it. We do, however, recommend that you are at a moderate fitness level.

Which tour is better for me?

+

For those interested in the history of New York City and how it came to be the epicenter it is today, we suggest the Lower Manhattan Walking Tour. You’ll learn about why New York is called “the city that never sleeps” and see some of the most iconic sites. If you love learning about buildings that have evolved and transformed over the years, we highly suggest the TriBeCa Architecture & History Tour. There’s no need to be an architect or have any prior knowledge to enjoy this tour. TriBeCa offers dozen of hidden gem attractions, so we decided to honor it with a tour all on its own.

Do you offer private tours?

+

Yes, we do! If your group is larger than 15 people or if you’d rather have the personal attention of your local guide, we offer completely private walking tours through our fascinating city. Choose to make the Downtown Manhattan Walking Tour or the TriBeCa Architecture & History Walking Tour private, and we’ll do our very best to accommodate your group.

Please fill out our private tour inquiry form and we’ll get back to you soon!

Do you run tours year-round?

+

We at Metro Tours love what we do, and for that reason, we don’t want you to miss a thing! Our tours run year-round and (mostly) rain or shine. If the weather becomes too inclement, we will alert you via phone/e-mail/text within two hours of the starting time. If a tour is canceled due to difficult weather conditions, we will issue you a full refund.

Where is the meeting point?

+

Both our Lower Manhattan Walking Tour and TriBeCa Architecture & History Tour meet at 15 Centre St. New York, NY 10007 (Centre Street & Park Row).

The following stations serve our meeting point:
4/5/6/J/Z Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station, R/W City Hall station, 2/3 Park Place station

Can I tip my tour guide?

+

Our tour guides continuously research and update their tours to provide you with the best possible experience. While it’s never expected, if you enjoyed your tour and want to give a tip to your tour guide, please do!

Can I bring my children with me?

+

Absolutely! We have crafted our tours to be 100% family friendly. We even have a children’s activity booklet to make sure even our smallest guests leave Metro Tours having learned something new.

Is there a family discount?

+

There sure is! Use the promo code “FAMILY” for 1 free ticket when you buy 3.

What should I bring with me on the tour?

+

As you will be walking, we suggest you wear comfortable shoes and layers/sunscreen (depending on the weather).
